    DHP Hydraulic Chuck Manuals
    1. 1 Please completely clean any dust, oil or other dirt within the mounting hole before installing the tool into the hydraulic tool shank. These factors will have a negative impact on the clamping force and may even cause the tool to slip during machining.
    2. 2 Confirm that the diameter tolerance of the tool shank to be installed is within h6 (refer to the h6 tolerance table). Do not install tools with flat or notched shanks (refer to Fig. B), and empty locking is forbidden too. These will all lead to excessive deformation and damage of the mounting hole.
    3. 3 Please insert a cutting tool completely close to the bottom of the inner bore of the chuck. There is an adjustable support screw at the bottom of the hole (see Fig. A ③), and the maximum upward adjustment of the support screw is 8mm.
    4. 4 Operate the T-shaped wrench (see Figure A①) to adjust the locking screw (see Figure A②). The locking torque must be controlled within the range of 6 to 9 Nm (it is recommended to use a torque wrench to ensure this). If it is lower than 6 Nm, the clamping force of the tool holder will be insufficient, and if it is higher than 9 Nm, the tool holder will be damaged to varying degrees. For the clamping torque of each type of tool holder, please refer to the reference table in detail.

    Attention
    • Hydraulic chuck is suitable for finishing. Rough machining will cause the short life of the chuck and will also lead to negative effects for precision and clamping.
    • The operating temperature should be kept at 20~50℃ (Fig. C).
    • Don't use any accessories of other brands, to avoid any negative effect.
    • The sealing system is forbidden to be opened up; it might cause the leaking of the oil.
    • Please maintain un-clamping condition for storage or without cutting tool.

    Frequently Asked Questions
    Q What is the required bar size tolerance for the DHP Hydraulic Chuck?
    The assembled bar size tolerance must be ≥ h6. Always verify the tool shank diameter falls within the h6 tolerance range before installation. Using shanks outside this tolerance can damage the mounting hole or reduce clamping performance.
    Q What locking torque should be applied when using the DHP Hydraulic Chuck?
    The locking torque must be controlled within 6 to 9 N·m. It is strongly recommended to use a torque wrench to ensure accuracy. Torque below 6 N·m results in insufficient clamping force, while torque above 9 N·m may cause damage to the tool holder.
    Q What is the difference between the standard DHP and the Super Slim DHP Hydraulic Chuck?
    The HSK-A-DHP Super Slim Hydraulic Chuck features a slimmer body design (smaller D1 and D2 dimensions) that prevents interference in tight machining environments. It also supports a higher balanced speed of 25,000 rpm compared to 20,000 rpm for the standard version, making it ideal for high-speed precision applications with limited clearance.
    Q Is the collet included with the DHP Hydraulic Chuck?
    No. The wrench is included with the chuck, but the collet must be ordered separately. Please refer to the "Suit collet" column in the specification table to select the correct collet model for your application.
    Q Can the DHP Hydraulic Chuck be used for rough machining?
    The DHP Hydraulic Chuck is designed for finishing operations. Using it for rough machining will significantly shorten the chuck's service life and negatively affect both precision and clamping performance. It is not recommended for heavy-duty roughing cuts.
    Q What precautions should be taken when storing the DHP Hydraulic Chuck?
    When storing the chuck or when no cutting tool is installed, always maintain the un-clamping condition. The operating temperature should be kept between 20°C and 50°C. Do not open the sealing system as this may cause oil leakage, and avoid using accessories from other brands to prevent any adverse effects on the chuck.
